Wayne...did this help you any...I'm curious what you found out. email me and I'll go into a further explanation, if you want to go ahead and drop the gear part of the steering out...one thing I forgot to tell you was....the steering U joint hooks onto the worm gear shaft with a 3/16 pin...I found that this had some wear. I'm debating about whether to drill it out to 1/4 inch...I'm hesitant to do it because I suspect the shaft is hard as can be...anyway. let me know what you find out..my email is larrylyn@grapevine.net
