On my regular I installed lip seals on the PTO & belt pulley shafts. It might work on the input as well.
Measured OD of shaft & ID (minor diameter) of casting on tractor. Use a bearing house to find a good match. Gooped up the seal OD with silicone and pushed it in. Then cut a ring from large pipe that approximated the seal OD. Put the in ring in, and then the packing nut to hold seal in place.
Hope this explanation makes sense. Wish I had a photo, but can try to walk you thru it if you need.
