John, a 544 Hydro gas, when used correctly, is a nice little tractor. Still several around here on loader tractors. About the only bad thing on the engine(C-200) is their tendency to crack cylinder heads once in awhile. As far as the hydro, they scare a lot of people, but properly maintained they will run a long time. Change Hy-Tran & filters regularly is the best PM on these. Also, try to find another tractor for the chisel plow-hydros don't like a heavy pull for very long. As far as value, I'll say $35-4000. Hope this helps.
