I would personally not do it.
I think it might encourage oil consumption which might not let you sleep at night as it would hint at compression/cylinder wear problems.
However, for top-cylinder lube on my LPG forklifts, I take out the spark plugs every once in awhile and give a few drops of Marvel Mystery oil directly into the combustion chamber. ATF is said to work just as well although I have not tried it personally.
