how much wear was in sleeves,were they honed?ring end gap ? we take things for granted and then find out it was not done.to get them to seat you will need to run it at operating temp. and work it hard.like a day or two steady.if you us bonamy ,let it sniff in only about a table spoon full while working it hard. it wont hurt any thing.
