My gut sense tells me that you guys are onto something good here. Suggest set it up like a business with board of trustees, teach how Capitalism works, appoint one of the students to be "Treasurer". Soliciting businesses is good advise. But, don't neglect the potential power of millions of anonymous donors.
Next step is to post a USPS contact address here and elsewhere. After that be thankful for what comes in as to project supports. Try it and I got a five spot for 'ya. IHank
