Recently rebuilt aD-188 in my IH 504 utility,went pretty smooth I thought. My first dry sleeve experience .Since then I have been reading the horror stories of loose fitting sleeves in these engines. The front 3 fit pretty good,a hour in the freezer then a snug fit in warm block.#4 was a different story,did not realy snug up until about one inch from hitting block deck. Now Im worried about it flopping around,breaking at the top and falling down on the crank.These engines are scarce I dont want to destroy it. Great little tractor for my use,be lost with out it. Had very little luck finding over size OD sleeves ,IH still lists them but dont know if realy available. What do you guys think,run or open it back up to take a secind look?
