When I bought my 1940 H, it had the original dual inlet sediment bowl installed under the main tank. The starting tank had already been removed, but I'm sure it would have had just a shut-off valve. Having said that, I've also seen the sediment bowl installed on the starting tank, and a shut-off valve installed in the main tank, but that may have been on a '39 or very early '40? Don't know, but you may have to improvise something for a shut-off valve on the starting tank.
