For the record, I am not trying to talk down belt powered equipmet. But it sounds like a new, complete PTO driveshaft is cheaper. For 275 bones you could propably find a used PTO gearbox and driveshaft as well as fabricate the brackets. Long, flat belt and an open buzzsaw sounds like an accident waiting to happen.
