If it is loose enough to slide in W/O tools, it may fracture at the top and drop into the lower end (not good) Putting Iodine (the medicine)on it with it dry and clean and a bit of water mist to set it in place will rust it to the bore. This does work, but is tough to remove. Others have put Locktite sleeve liquid on them to hold them. I think this reduces the transfer of heat. IH had A, B C, and D sized bores and select fit sleeves into them. (stamped near the sleeve ring on each) If only ssuppliers would make sleeves to those sizes. JimN
