I agree with Gene, It is likely that one of the shift forks did not go into the groove in the gear it controls. This causes the issue. If the rails cannot be aligned through the shifter hole with a moderate prying and some rocking of the tractor to take pressure off of the gears, it will need the top pulled again. If you never took out the shifter when pulling the top off, that is most likely the problem. JimN
