I've never owned an 86 model, but I'll try to give ya a "generic" explanation. :>)
The draft will work on any job that is ground engaging and with implements that are 3-point mounted. It sets the �depth or load� of your work and I�ve used it on everything from plows to cultivators.
Your position control should have a �run� position; this is where the position control should always be after lowering the implement.
�Light� on the draft control lever is shallow; �Heavy� is deep. Once you get your depth set, leave the draft control in this same position (unless you wanna change the depth).
Use the position control to lift and lower the implement and the hitch will always find that same load or depth that you�ve set the draft to.
