TMI, a couple of pics from my SA, which had a Pesco pump, if yours is similar to mine. The arrow is pointing to the part of the body that contains the O-ring or seal (some had one, some had the other) that keeps the hydraulic fluid from escaping forward into the engine.
In the second pic, the shaft with the arrow goes through the front part of the body, and the important 0-ring-or-seal sits around this shaft. and is within the bore in the body.
I had to scrape paint to find the numbers on the pump, but IH has a rebuild-kit (you can see part of it to the left) and they are specific to certain pumps.
