SM with MW live Hyd pump

I took my pump a part to replace the seals, and I noticed that all the needle bearings are missing two needles. Are the needle bearing suppose to be that way? The pump is split into three peices. Is there to be an O-ring between the center peice, because there is a grove for an O-ring. There would be two 0-rings, one on each side of the center peice. Any info would help.
