I had a Olds 98 knock a JD corn planter into a ditch in 1999 from an IH 886. The hitch did not come out of the tractor but the force sheared the bolts in the tongue of the tractor. She met me head on at dusk running 60 MPH, missed the rear tractor tire and hit the corner of the planter. Her car spun 180 degrees in less than ten feet, I don't why it did not flip over. Totaled the corn planter and car. The car had air bags and no one was hurt. It was her fault, in Indiana farm machinery has the right of way, except on interstates where prohibited.
