My M had lots of play in the wheel when I got it. It would wobble very badly when going down the road. I took the top off the steering gear and found the gear on top of the shaft that goes down to the wheels was loose. I made a recessed washer that would go down over the splines on the verticle shaft and pulled the gear down past flush. Cured all my problems. Bernie Steffen
