Spoked wheels on H

I just bought an H - serial #122699 - which my guess is a 1943. It has a feature I am curious about: It has spoked wheels. Are they from an earlier tractor ? Perhaps a WW2 model that orig. came whith steel wheels ? I think they are neat looking, but are they as strong as the solid wheels on my other H ? By the way, I think this forum is great.
