I believe I read somewhere in a book that there was a harrow for the C that they made and the Super C's with fast hitchs has a metal rod to be put inplace of the hydraulic cylinder, then you removed the cylinder and used hose extensens with quick couplers and put the cylinder on the harrow...pretty cool I thought.
My tractor will lift anything I put on the back of it but the nose just goes in the air...very outstanding hydraulics for its era...why couldnt you just make new hoses and put quick connects by the back of the seat(provided your cylinder didnt settle, or you could just make a ridged mount for it)...the only thing I would be conserned about would be running out of hydraulic oil if you were using a larger cylinder...Im sure if you were careful you'd be ok...
In my owners manual it shows a roller harrow i think. You take the Hydraulic cylinder off and replace it with a spacer that keeps the draw bar in place. Then you put the cylinder on the harrow to opperate it.
if your cylinder settles you need to make sure the plunger is pushed down. Once the plunger on top is pushed it is "locked" into place. If it still settles then the cylinder needs rebuilt.
