To do this first ya have to use the back plate off the m engine and have it centered up and redrilled for the 345 then ya bolt that to the back of the 345 . And you do use the M flywheel and it has to be redrilled for the 345 crank . Now as far as balance sometimes ya get lucky and sometimes ya don't and if your not lucky then ya got to do a total balancing of all the rotating members . Now trust me here this is not going to be a direct bolt in and will require some BARNYARD engineering and some work with the gas ax and lincoln ready bolt.along with a governor off a combine and some barnyard engineering for linkage. Then one must keep in mind that that OLD flywheel WILL NOT TAKE A LOT OF RPM's and the M clutch will not stand up to the extra pony power . SO what we have done in the past and i do mean the past is that we have always went to a S/M or 400-450 flywheel and used the clutch out of a 706-806. BUt here again ya got to keep the RPM under 3000 because that flywheel just may come unglued and the bellhousing is NOT a scatter shield .
