Red, they could have gone down a bit that first year after the War, but my Dad paid $1250. for his. I remember him saying that the day it came in to the depot on a flat car that a neighbor offered him $2500. for it and that would have exactly doubled his money.This was one of 12 tractors allotted to a 5 county region during the war and were made available under a kind of a lottery deal,where names were picked "out of a hat" from those who submitted a reqest to buy one. He declined the offer, said he bought it to farm with, not make money on. I always thought that it was a prophetic choice of words. Tim
