The cap for the system can be gotten at almost any salvage yard for Farmall tractors. they are shaped a bit like a chefs hat with ribs around the top. But. Making a larger resivoir will help most. The drain plug is in the bottom of the pump casting. It is the angular block of iron held up by four bolts. It also has a slotted hole in each side of it to be used for attachments. The plug has a square head and is 1/2" pipe thread. A short nipple and a T can be put in that drain hole. put the plug back in one side of the T, and a hose fitting to a resivoir tank in the other. Use a 2 gallon resivoir tank, and position it so that it is equal to, or a bit lower than the fill cap, and higher than the pump retaining bolts mentioned above. This will allow additional oil, and space for it to return to work in the system. I think that your timing gears are going out in the front cover (above post). Replace them with gears from late 51, or newer engines, they are improved. JimN
