It is DEFINITELY the way to go if it's a working tractor not not for show! Those spin-on filters don't look exactly right on the side of my M and SM, but every time I change the oil I'm glad we installed them about 20 years ago! I can always put the old ones back on if I want an authentic look. Come to think of it, I guess a can of red spray paint would make them look better than they to now!!
