Have a 240 wide front I painted this way six years ago and it actually has darkened slightly, not faded. The front bucket gets a pretty good work-out with winter snow and resists scratches remarkably well in my view. Remember, I said these are my "workin" tractors, not show pieces. Also, all my reds are kept in a tractor shed, under cover. I use the the Rust-Oleum because it is cheap, readily available and I can touch-up bumps and grinds easily. As far as the needle gun, if you guys don't have one, you won't believe how handy these things are. Heavy scale on the inside of my rear rims from calcium blast away in minutes. To each his own, but this method works for me and I can re-paint quickly, no mess and I'm back to working the machine.
