Hi Michael, the 484 and like models with the saddle tanks will not work well with low fuel in the tanks especially if you go up a hill. Some problems, gravity feed and no inline fuel pump, junk in the bottom of the tank and the equalizing line between the two tanks becomes clogged. Drain the tank by taking the shut off valves out of the bottom of both sides of the tank and blow air thru from the line at the fuel filter back to the tank. Like the other post said bugs in the tank, My brother had the remains of a lady bug in his 684 fuel tank that caused all sorts of grief until he drained tank and blew out the lines.
