Bill, I had the same situation on my 154. I took the nut off, used PB blaster several times, put some tension on it with my puller, then used a ball peen and tapped the top of the puller. It losened slightly, so I tightened a little more sprayed some more and it came right off. I have had to take it off 2 times since. I put some anti seeze on the splines and threads. I have been able to hand pull it with a rocking motion the last time. I hope yours goes that well.
