I looked on the TSC web site and they show a cable too short (not 84 inches). The local NAPA store has been able to get tractor parts and sometimes has them in stock. I was concerned about crimping the connectors to bare cable without proper tools. Thank you for the tip. I will visit the NAPA store - if they don't have something, I get to pay for it up front before they will order it. Just for fun I am going to use the existing cables to determine whether the engine will turn over and soon will try to start the tractor. This afternoon (99 degrees) I removed the valve cover and am studying whether to remove the carburetor to easily get at the valve adjustments. As soon as that is done I will use the new gasket and replace the cover, then make the auxilliary fuel delivery set, check the points and rotor, clean commutators, and see whether I can start the engine.
