Yeah John - Our Oliver 1850 (gas) would light up the manifold and muffler a dull orange (not just red...) and issue an angry blue flame a couple feet beyond of the top of the muffler stack while plowing at after dark. Was an awesome sight indeed!! Also drained the gas tank in a hurry. Could empty the tank - 35+ gallons - in about 4 hours. Not a big deal when gas was $0.23, but I wouldn't want to be putting gas in it at today's price...
