We had a 504 gas for years. Great little chore tractor if you get one with a three point hitch. The motor runs at high speed with decent power but you do not want to lug it down as it looses grunt fast. Now if you could find a diesel 504 it would be a real gem. One thing with the gasser, it has no sleeves so if it needs rebuilding the block has to be bored for oversize pistons. Trouble is unless you find a low houred machine its been overhauled before and you might have to have sleeves fitted making it a bit spendy.
