Loose bearings there are a sign of loose bearings in most of the Trans/Diff/Finals. The metal must go somewhere, and it is usually into other rollers/balls and bushings, causing premature wear there. I would repair it, new bearings will be reasonable (compared to the loss if you sold the tractor honestly with that issue known to the buyer. Best of luck, and maybe it is local to the pinion bearing. JimN
