NC Mike's advice will only work if the bull gears are removed first! You will break the housing if you try to remove it without bull gear removal. Several Forum posters have had that experience. You will have to be patient & dig, pry, punch, hammer, etc., etc. I like to replace with 2 new style seals and put lithium grease in between the seals. Install seals with the open side & spring towards the oil source (transmission gears).
