I went out this afternoon and added 3 more gallons - 1 gallon at a time. Now the unit is a lot quieter - I don't know what to make of that. It seems there would have to be a be a leak at the pump to let it start sucking air after the tractor runs a bit. I don't know if it is a good idea to have all the extra fluid in the housing.I don't know what is around the pump in the belly of the tractor. I wouldn't think that IH would build something with a dipstick well marked on how much fluid to add. Is it possible to have a leaking gasket in the pump or something else to let the pump suck air after fluid is drawn down after startup. If anyone else has any ideas let me know. - James
