I'd like to spiffy up the 3 hydraulic ports on my H. I'm working on the transmission and hydraulic shafts at the moment and so have the belly open. I can see these tubes where they emerge from the pump. Question is .. if I remove these supply lines and clean them up will I regret that I did so because of leaks after replacing them? Will I have to drain the hydraulic oil if I decide to go ahead?
Also .. when working on the shafts I mentioned above I drained all the transmission fluid from the machine. There was about 8 quarts of BLACK, THICK stuff - nasty. It's probably more than 60 years old. What should I replace this with?
