I do not have a 1456 but I do have a Farmall 1566. It is a 1977 model and I believe it is the last and biggest Farmall (IH) tractor. The tractor dynos about 160 HP. I use it for heavy tilling and pulling a 24' tandem finishing disc for preparation of grain crops. The engine revs very high and you can listen to the turbo whine all nite long. The tractor is a 3 speed with a high/low and a torque amplifier. The air conditioning does not work so I open the side windows. We rebuilt the engine 4 years ago and the rear end 5 years ago. The tractor is cabable of doing a lot of work with a value of 50% of an equivalent John Deere.
