Rusty: I beg to differ with you, I do this every 3 weeks. I will agree, much higher than 10" it wont mow it even in one pass. I left an area this spring, about 30' x 10', wanted it to go to seed. Last week I mowed that off at roughly 30" high, no problem heading into that full width of mower in 1st gear. I did cross that a couple of times to get it even, but mainly to chop up the grass. Let me assure you though, 10" is no problem. Now I agree the blades do have to be sharp.
