The T means it came with a low drum cotton picker attachment, S means TA with provision for a 540 rpm PTO, A means it has a distillate engine. In other words it came from the factory as a distillate burning cotton picker tractor. The use of distillate was somewhat unusual in late 1954-1956 when it was built, as there was no gasoline shortage. It may have been intended for export.
