Hi Jeef, from your description, it would appear the clutch release bearing mechanism is binding. The adjustment is the threaded rod with the clevis on the end that connects to the clutch pedal. There are grease zerks on the clutch fork shaft that goes into the bell housing. In the last 6 years my brother & I have done clutch jobs on his 454, 495 & 684. It takes about 8 hrs by the time you take flywheel to be ground. Can give you blow by blow instructions but am reluctant as without proper jacks & stands it is dangerous job.
