p, Row widths are a matter of the plant being grown, tools used to plant, tools used to cultivate and tractor wheel spacing. If garden size is not restricted, I suggest the following. Measure from center of rear tire to center of rear tire. Use this spacing as row width and you will not have to alter the wheel spacing on the tractor. A one row planter can be used and after planting the first row, move over and run one rear wheel in one of the tracks made by the first pass. You can adjust your cultivators to the same pattern and when the crop is small you can shift the tractor off center of the planter tracks and cultivate adjacent to the crop. The cultivators located back of the rear wheels will wipe out the tracks. On large or vining plants there will be plenty of room for their growth if you will only plant alternate rows. Hope this helps.
