Also saw where Volvo Truck's purchase of Scania Truck in Europe was crushed by the European Union. The rumor mill has started again that Volvo might buy up Navistar(this rumor started in February, 1999, with both sides saying it wasn't true). I hope it doesn't happen. I don't want to see Navistar/old IH go the way of so many other companies, like Freightliner being bought out by Daimler-Benz, and Mack Truck being bought out by Renault. I'd like to see Navistar stay red, white, and blue. Also saw where Navistar just moved from the fourth-largest heavy truck manufacturer to the third-largest. Dunno who they moved past. Nice to see 'em doing well.
