Never used a 46, and I am told that the 46 is much better than the 45. My dad had a 45, and my job was to ride the twine box (they were mounted on the sides of the bale chamber), and tie the missed bales before they came out. I spent many a hour on that baler. They should have built a seat on the baler, and just done away with the knotters. As I said, most agree the 46 are decent balers. I have never talked to anyone who used a 45 that liked them.
