They hadn't invented humor yet in the 1930's, so unfortunately the letters don't really stand for anything. The letters simply "sounded powerful," I'm sure.
My personal theory is that the M was originally going to be called a "K," based on the FBK designation on the serial number tags of Ms, FBH on H tags, FAA on A tags, and FAB on B tags. Why would three of the four models have matching tags? Because someone in marketing decided that K didn't sound right.
