I just had my injection pump rebuilt about 2 weeks ago and is running great but something is bothering me. Is it normal, under 3 quarter throttle & light/to med. load for the engine to act like it is running top speed or more R.P.M,s than im youst to? This is a old dozer 64 model td9 IH and doesnt have a R.P.M. guage on it. It acts its miss-fireing [ i.e. studdering ] I really dont how else to explain it but when full load is on it it pushes good & seems to even out. Should I be worried or is it normal? The prev. owner told me when pushing trees or dirt dont ever lugg the motor. Is it governed so the motor wont over rev.& blow up ?? thanks guys!!
