P circle seals have a teflon ring riding on the stem, and it is free to move within a small chamber in the rubber part of the seal. this short stroking action meters oil into the guide. They can be put on almost any engine. The ones with cast in place valve guide bosses must be machined to take the rubber part of the seal. Most with pressed in guides do not need any machining. JimN
