I cannot help you out with the McCormick Badge. As far as I know there is only the Farmall hood and the International hood for the 300. McCormick only appears with the Farmall hood. That stainless badge in the photograph is the only one I know of that mounts on the side. It is 9 3/8 inches long. The McCormick name disappeared with the 350 series. As far as the "pump" goes, what you have is the actuator or motor. If you had mentioned the word Behlen which is cast on the motor, we would have known what you were talking about. It was sold either as an aftermarket retro kit or as original equipment with the tractor. It was fairly common on 400's but I do not think it was available on 300's. (could be wrong). On a 400 it becomes part of the steering shaft that is located above the motor valve cover. If your tractor never had PS, you will need a special flow control valve made by IH to make it work. Email me and we can talk about the valve. I have several NOS. If you do not want the actuator, I might be interested in it.
