I appreciate your patience and help. The problem is that the hose I described is only connected to the steering column and not connected anywhere at the other end and I dont see where it should be connected. I got the tractor not long ago from someone who knows less than I do. There may be a whole section of hose missing from the one foot piece that is left that would have led to where it connects. Again, the bigger 1/2 - 3/4 hose is in place and attached to the rear rt of the res. All of the metal tubes on the column are attached. This is a smaller hose coming from the steering column that is dangling free?? and I have not found where it should connect. Thanks again
