Restoration of the SA has progressed to the (re)-wiring stage. I purchased a voltage regulator to support the 6 volt negative-ground system from Napa. They gave me a reg with a Napa part number VR850. It is even make in the USA! Does this sound like the correct part number? On the bottom of the reg there is stamped "6V pos". I assume that indicates pos ground system.
In the box were minimal instructions. There was also in the box what appears to be a coiled resistor and long screw. What is that for? Haven't seen that part on any of the SA wiring diagrams posted on this forum.
