They are great tractors. Issues with any vintage unit are always possible. The Key things that are often issues are the steering box and linkages/spindles if it was used with a loader. If these are tight and operate well, they will be fine. Check the operation of the TA (if equipped) they are a great tool and make the tractor far better than similar tractors W/O TA. Adjustment to book specifications is a must, as is moving the TA lever briskly (1/2 second or less)through its travel when using it. Moving it slowly is a bad idea. Letting it spring forward is not good on the linkage, but it doesn't hute the shifting!! The IPTO should be impossible to turn when shut off, and drive well when on. It has a brake system to stop the equipment attached to it when in the off lock position. Brakes are iffy. When serviced, they work well. If left unserviced they are very easy to fix (though not cheap to buy disks for. The engine is the same series as in an A B C or SC it is however bigger in displacement and more powerful. It is not as powerful as the engine in a 300U, or 350U. (these are SH derived engines). I hope this helps, JimN
