That, and I think a lot of folks mistrust a little the quality of any mechanical work done by others. I know I got up nto the belly of an M that a fella paid top dollar for. It had obviously been worked on before hit was painted, so I wouldn't say they lied to him, but while I was up in there fiqurin' out why his clutch wouldn't disengage, I kept comin' back down with my hands covered in grit where they sandblasted without sealing things off. Had it all through the clutch and throwout bearing, etc., enough that one can't help but wonder what was in the motor. The folks thatsold it to him gave him all the receipts for parts they had put into it and so on, which is some assurance, but the work was the pits.
