You didnt say how much water you found and the history of the engine as to how has it been used and so forth. I will drop pan then let wait a few days to see if coolant is leaking beneath the sleeve. If the engine hasnt been run in a few days removing pan now probably would show where the sleeve is leaking if its the sleeve. I had one last winterdidnt leak there but head gasket did leak at the rear of the block and let coolant into the oil. Cleaned it up installed new gasket and has been used this winter with no leaks.
