Repeated from page 4..JimN New pilot bearing, or accurate measurement of the existing bearing to assure it is OK. New plate, new TO bearing. Resurface flywheel friction surface, and take the same amount off of the rim where the clutch PP mounts to the FW. this keeps the geometry correct. Take out three of the PP mounting bolts equaly around (120 degrees apart)use the three to screw into the rear of the PP where there are three holes of correct thread. These bolts release the PP clamping force from the FW. this allows the pp to be released while putting the engine in. after assembly the bolts are re installed in the FW, after putting in the shaft. Now when ya reface the flywheel there is a specific hight that the step needs to be cut to . as a lot of places do not know this and this is why alot of clutches slip. the correct step hight should be 1.406 . write that sown so ya don't forgot .
