I will let others do the diagnosis if needed as I am new to the H tractors myself. I recently bought one and I find that in 5th gear it is scarry fast at partial throttle. I really don't want to open the throttle fully to find out just how fast or how much power it has. Maybe I am gettng old or just not in as much of a hurry any more but I think that 5th is more for speed and not power, level ground only sort of thing.
